Ghost Hunting Behind Bars is an interactive after-dark experience inside a real prison. Guests actively take part in a guided paranormal investigation, exploring reported paranormal activity through observation, discussion and the use of specialist equipment within authentic prison spaces. This is a focused, participatory experience shaped by silence, darkness and the reality of the setting.
Every event also includes a guided attempt at spirit communication in one exclusive area that is normally closed during the prison’s nighttime experiences.
Once the prison closes to daytime visitors, the investigation begins.
Your group enters the prison at night, when sound carries differently and familiar spaces feel altered. Hosts outline how the evening will run and introduce the locations that will be explored.
Time is spent moving slowly through wings, cells and corridors, allowing the building to settle into silence and creating space for careful observation.

Every Ghost Hunting Behind Bars event now includes access to one of our exclusive investigation areas. Depending on the event, this could be the Wilcockson Room, the Goodwin Room, the Visits Room, the Drop Room or another specially selected area.
Although some of these spaces can be visited during the day, the investigation areas selected for Ghost Hunting Behind Bars are normally closed during the prison’s nighttime experiences. In the selected location, hosts invite any spirits that may be present to communicate. The group then listens, watches and waits for any possible response.
The exclusive location rotates between events, giving returning guests the opportunity to investigate a different setting, each with its own history, atmosphere and character.
Participants are introduced to a range of investigation techniques and equipment.
Rather than relying on performance, the focus is on how to use tools responsibly — recording sound, monitoring changes and discussing observations as a group.
Guests are encouraged to question, compare experiences and decide for themselves what they encounter, with hosts guiding discussion rather than directing conclusions.
