Due to an internal promotion, Shrewsbury Prison has an exciting new vacancy for a Site Manager.
In this role, you will be responsible for the overall operations of the site. This unique and varied role is ideal for someone with experience in leading teams and a background in tourism or heritage.

Shrewsbury Prison is a heritage led tourist attraction. Built in 1791 and servicing as Shropshire’s county’s prison, until its closure in 2013.
Opening in 2015, Shrewsbury Prison began its journey of developing into a heritage attraction. It is now considered the world’s most interactive prison tourism company, alongside being Shropshire’s number 1 tourist destination, and the worlds 6th dark tourist attraction.
Shrewsbury Prison provides visitors an authentic Georgian, Victorian, and modern-day prison experience, led by ex-prison officers with a wealth of experience and time ‘served’. There are a wide range of tours, activities and events happening at the prison, as well as education visits, team building, private hire, and production usage.

This role is 32 hours per week, with a salary of £25,000 per annum.
This role is mostly Monday-Friday, with some evening and weekend shifts when required.
