On-site parking is available at the prison (SY1 2HP) and costs £6.00 for up to 24 hours. Please pay on arrival using either the payment machines or the parking app. The on-site car park is accessed through the main prison gates and is subject to availability.
There is a car park opposite the prison, accepting card payments (SY1 2HP), and at the train station pay & display, which is located 50 meters away from the prison entrance on Howard Street (SY1 2LF).
Shrewsbury Train Station (SHR) is situated directly opposite the prison. If you are travelling by train, exit the station and head up the steps on the path to the left, then cross over the train tracks using the Dana bridge.
You will be dropped off outside the prison. Your coach will park in a local coach car park and return after your visit from outside the prison. Your coach driver will provide and confirm specific details on the day.
